Glad you didn't get piled up...oil spill/rear tire.. Very happy with my bike and would like to one day find one of the older models
My wife and I headed to Bowling Green Kentucky on Sunday. We took two lane roads through horse country then jumped on the Bluegrass Parkway to Bardstown then ran 31E down to Bowling Green area. We visited some of her family on Monday then headed back the same route. It was nice to stay off the interstate. We racked up 550 miles, and no rain.
I drove down to Shreveport last Wednesday. Took scenic route rather than interstate through Kentucky. Love all the stone fences and horse farms.
Took the bike out for a short run yesterday, ran like a new bike,,somehow or another I ended up riding for a couple hours! Much like Wood Wolverine, I found a network of gravel roads (made for good practice) that resulted in a very dirty bike. My old riding buddy pushed it some thru the backroads and I felt good keeping up for the most part. I caught myself catching my breath and puckering up on a couple uphill blind sweepers but overall feeling much better. 6 miles or so of brutal crosswinds at speed didn't unnerve me at all like they would've last summer. Ride safe out there.
I worked from home today. There was a bunch of online training and computer work to do so was a desk jockey most of the day. I needed to blow off some steam so my wife and I headed out for a short ride, there were storms headed in so we stayed local. We kept dodging the storm then it finally chased us home. Once the storm blew through we headed back out. My wife needed some ice cream so we headed back to town.
Local Ducati dealer had their 60th anniversary open house today w/ free dyno runs. I rode there with a friend and his Buell1190. Torque curve is flat and air/fuel is very good! The Buell had 160hp. The 1299 had 178.
Been logging some miles, of late. 75 miles to the Ohio River, rode 210 by the time I got home. Pouring rain the last 40 miles,,dropped off the hiway and took backroads. Hiway speeds thru the hills felt great, the rain at hiway speeds was the only time I was uncomfortable, thus the backroads thru the hills,,the bike stayed stuck to the road well,.. Slept good that nite! Logged another 150 miles the next day. Looking at the Pirelli MT tire for the rear .. The current Bridgestone has great tread depth but noticed some checking since logging near a thousand miles the past few weeks. it's probably original! You good people ride safe.
Is that's your buddy's panigale? Nice bike whoever owns it. Its that an r or an s? Is that Dyno sheet from the multistrada? I'm in full on motor transplant mode on my TLS/R 1000.
