Tim, although that is a nice saw log, I too would have no problem cutting it into firewood. That will be some sweet cutting and burning. You fell into a real nice find there.
Oh yeah. Got home a little early today so Ruger and I headed over to the neighbors to start on this beauty. 80+ feet of red oak. first 50-60 feet had no branches. about 22" at base fell on some tops from last years logging so it was up off the ground too 362 with 20" bar Spent about and hour and a half cutting. Ran a tank of fuel out of the 241 and two tanks out of the 362 and ran out with with only 2 cuts to go. But Ruger said it was time to go... Did even realize how hot it was. Had to peel my clothes off when i got back ! Those chaps are so hot!!!
Tim you are a better man than I as I don't even want to think about cutting in this heat. Supposed to start cooling down a bit soon.
