There has been a long pile of Ash in my field. I had 1 Maple and 4 large Ash dropped near the house. We split it and piled it up for later.
Last Saturday my friend and his son came over and my two sons and myself got it stacked.

We took rough measurements and calculated 6 cords but rounded down. This wood will be for my friend that help cut, split and stack. He lives in the city and doesn't have room to stack it.
Now I need to get the Maple and Ash from the woods spit and stacked.

Nice of you to supply wood for him, what a beautiful stack. Surely to look burnable as it sits right now nice work! Likely to season well considering how open that field looks. Does he burn in a large Stove?

I have a 10 acre field and a 2 acre field. I'm not going to rent the 2 acre anymore. I'm going to seed it for wildlife and also have a place for my wood piles. It is open with no shade and gets a lot of wind.
Yes, he has a large stove, Vermont Dutch West.
My friend helped clean the yard and move all the wood. He is a friend that I can call anytime/anywhere and he comes through. It all evens out. He has done plenty for me.

A friend indeed sir. That places it well in that regard. I hope he or you has a way to get it to him when its ready. Looks like a heavy duty pile of huge splits you got a lot out of those trees. Hope you get your next set stacked like that one and run them together, not much that beats that sight!
