These chunks are 18 inches long and beyond my lifting these days. The largest I'am cutting in half ( no need to get hurt here and no great rush as this wood is 3-4 years out ). Once this is done I will split and stack. Heat wave here today 98 degrees when I got home.

Yep that would be something I would not lift these days either. Like you have done in the picture I just cut them in half. I just got about a cord of Elm and they were about 24" across. I cut them all in half before lifting. I do not have any back problems and do not want any.
Mabes......but then again, I do know TurboDiesel....personally. He is one excellent half of a great couple!
