Looks like the nice cool days are over. Worked for about 6 hours today on the load and had to tap out. Only supposed to get hotter too! My whole yard smells strong of oak. I love it.

A lot of folks don't, but I love that smell. Reminds me of heat.
The heat......yeah, we hit 90 today. I did a few minor things outside, but slowly.

Ya,not a big fan of summer heat. My wife and I drove back from pittsburgh today after going to a Tom Petty concert last night and it was like 86 when we left the hotel at 11 am. Last week's temps were awesome. BeechNut how's the leg?

The coolest high temp. I see for the next 2 weeks is 86* F here. The lawn already looks like it's August, almost dormant and brown. There's a few small chances of rain this coming week. I sure hope we get some of it.
The weatherman says 90* F today with SSW winds 15-25. That'll sure help the drying time of the new stacks a bunch! That's about all it'll be good for though. IMO
Glad to hear the leg is doing well BeechNut !

Yup hot as heck here so not much work will get done unless it's early in the morning. Have to build and cover the roof on the new pig house tomorrow so might have to tough it out for that project. Lots of water and shade breaks should get me through it

Nuts. We don't like the heat of summertime any more. So, probably not much will get done the next few days.

Cut 3 tanks worth today off the load. I didn't start til 10:45. Big mistake. Sweltering heat! I bet I lost 2 or 3 pounds. I'm ready for winter already.

Kinda like the pig farmer talking to a down wind neighbor. 'Smells like money to me':D

I love the smell of oak also, but then I love the smell of dirt, cowchit and skunk cabbage too.

I like it this hot early. Once it gets down to mid 80s, you are sighing in relief. Most of summer highs will be easy after this streak
