This is a great link for summit conditions. When you think the weather is bad down in the valley, the summit conditions are striking.

One evening we had a front move through down from NH and it was very windy. I went on the website, and the summit conditions had sustained 90 mph winds.

    Great pics!

    I miss that area.

The most impressive thing about my Washington is the giant chains that hold the building down. Screenshot_2017-06-09-00-07-49.png

Wow - that is just about as warm as it ever gets there. 72 is the record high temp for MWO made in both June and August.

Jon, that sounds like great fun. Too bad they don't have something like that now. I'd probably challenge you to a race!

Hard to say without knowing what you like. Coast is beautiful, but can get crowded, lots of little out of the way places though, anything Downeast of me on MDI is going to be less crowded too. I took a hike on the Bold Coast, that was cool, Hiking (with the hounds)

Campobello is neat...but Canadian, West Quoddy Head, the Eastern most point in the U.S. MDI can be a tourist trap, but it is spectacular, and it has its hidden gems too. Look me up if you come, maybe we can meet up, I usually get a few contacts from FHC members vacationing in my area every year.

Jack Straw, In your last picture, was that the artists bluff trail? Here are a few pics from today. My son Matt saw a moose when we were driving past one of the lookouts on the kanc, no picture though.....

Yea. Last October we parked across cannon mountain and hiked up to an area called the artists bluffs. (Which are located across route 93)

Then yes that's where we were. There was another trail there but we didn't hike it. Our calves had had enough that day.
