That looks awesome! No doubt you and your Mrs will enjoy it for years to come. I am still astounded everytime I hear of what is considered an indoor only houseplant here being outside on the east coast! Also I remember a business trip to Oregan a few years back and saw a couple of my prized houseplants in my home in Colorado as landscaping for the hotel & parking lot. Blew my mind!!

Cord wired in. We had disturbed the ancient power cord too many times during installing/rewiring the new pump. New cord did it! (not brand new, but cord from one of my space heaters atleast 20-30 years newer than the old cord, a trip to town including time and gas was worth the $20 heater! ) Comical watching us trouble shoot stuff and finally figuring out the outlets were good and it was the cord :picard: Guess it should have been apparent that the power problem started after rewiring, but, it is what it is.

In the end we have total rebuild of the entire system excluding pipes and fittings (new check valve). Culprit cord should be in upper right of photo, its black. (disregard sideways check valve, pic was before we aligned it upright from disassembling to back flush is with air compressor--then ended up with new pump and the check valve).

So what oil do you use? Not trying to start a oil thread;), but I understand where you are coming from being the owner of an old pushrod motor.

Well I finally broke down and did it. My old Poulan Pro riding mower took a dive this spring. Started it up 2 months ago and, clunk, sputter, oil on the ground! Two cylinder engine became a single cylinder. After 17 or so years and a number of part replacements it's time was up.

Since then we have been hiring it out but I am really unhappy with the service we were getting, so mower shopping I went.

Looked at a lower end Troy Built, 42" deck and it's bigger brother 46".

Then I noticed the Huskys. Same size, better and larger engine and just overall a more solid looking machine, but at a $300 premium. I know they are still home grade units but I am ok with that.

I noticed the Husky had a tear in the side of the seat, nothing too bad so I grabbed the manager and asked if they could give me a break.

I must have flashed my baby blue eyes the right way because she dropped $300 off it. Putting it at the same price as the Troy Built!

It quickly found it's way on the trailer!

Hug? She's usually giving the Sav a whack with the skillet when I'm talking with him.

Mobil 1 15w-50. Full synthetic. Wal-Mart and Meijer have a 5qt jug for ~$25. I used to use the Castrol syntec 20w-50 for classic cars, but that's $8-9 a qt, for semi synthetic.
