    $3.98...
You have kindling in your lumber aisles in bags. Your "no freebies for garbage" policy sucks and you sell this POS.

Is what it is but I do wish to let it be known. Sheep buy these kinds of things. Not knowing there's a source of this exact same wood for free by the ton nearby.

Lowes earns more of my money than any other single store. Deservedly so, they have always treated me right.

Not this one near me. I have spent money here but their staff is actually for chit. I prefer Home Depot. They actually do well at asking questions with purpose and have information regards to what they sell.At Lowes I asked someone what kind of metal was a piece of stove pipe, that I would need for indoors. They pointed at a galvanized pipe. I just bit my tongue...

I'm not saying that I never buy at Lowes, I do. But I love Menards. Even with the Ball State city kid zombies they tend to hire, they're still the best in Muncie. I also love Rural King, and the Greenville Ohio TSC.

Agreed! 1000%. Menards workers could go on strike and still have better service than most of the people at bLowes. Also RK :dex:

All I can offer is - if you sell it, they will buy. People that live in apartments are looking to have a small fire, do not want to go out and collect wood. Far more easier for them to buy a bag-o-wood at a big box store or corner gas station. Lowe's and HD exist for the people who have done research and know what they want. My 2 cents

And here I thought that Home Depot was known for carrying a better quality of products. It may be true across the board, but....

I bought 20 sheets of 1/2" OSB form them and have never...NEVER seen such a low quality! Very disappointed with it! If it had been closer, I would have returned it. As it was, I feel I compromised and went ahead and used it thinking all the time...its just a garage.

Just a garage...but I wanted it to be a "Garagemahal"!!

1/2 inch "rated" OSB is actually 7/16, was it roof sheathing there is a difference. They change the strength axis on the chips. I do not like walking on it, it flex to much for my comfort, 260 lbs. especially 24 on center

I used it for an inexpensive wall covering. The edges of it pretty much chipped flaked off whenever it was handled...and good luck screwing it close to the edge! Just didn't know it was going to be that inexpensive. Menards and the private owned lumber yard form where I had previously bought from was of good quality. Shouldn't have switched.

5/8"th for roofing, 24" on center for this old dumpster I call home, from Menards, good lumber in Richmond, Indiana.
Shrunk wrapped lumber scraps for kindling? Paying someone to collect it, wrap it, stock it on a shelf,,wonder if they make any money on it?

Right? You can buy an 8' section of 2x4 for less than this, kiln dried and easy to cut and split for $3. Just amazing what a store can do as opposed to digging in a dumpster at a local building site.

The gas station by me sells shrink wrapped bundles of scraps for $4.99. I said does anyone actually buy this stuff ? And was told that they get 2 delivery's a week.
Maybe I should shrink wrap my stacks and retire.

This is exactly what I wanted comparison for. The wood is crap you can see the frayed ends like the wood has begun to rot in some way. Some gas stations have better quality wood because its split by one person or a group that actually stacks their wood. Ive seen the shrink wrapped stuff at a grocery....ugh. Not much bigger than this, same wood and priced for the dunce. I bought this stuff before too , yeah I know. Just wasn't the hoarder I am now. If I could sell wood, jeeze you bet. Best quality bundles I find to be the ones wrapped in that plastic strapping.

    You have them out there?

It's gotten to the point that if I drive past a Menards, they call my cell and ask if everything is alright!
