I've got a line on a 365 special can anyone help me out with any differences? I have a 372xp already so is the 365 special the same saw with the transfer baffles still in place?
Yes, what I know about those saws is that the 365 special is the same displacement as the 372, with those baffles in the casting.
No, the 365 that can be converted to a 372 is the newer 365 X-Torq. The 365 special is an older version with smaller displacement. It's a popular good performer, but not a 372-equivalent.
To clarify, the 365 that can be easily and cheaply be converted to a 372 is the X-Torq. I believe the 365 Special can take a pre-X-Torq top end, but a cylinder and piston will cost ya.
That's what I was looking to find out! Thanks for the info! All in all still a good saw at $450 Wearing a 24"?
[QUOTE="All in all still a good saw at $450 Wearing a 24"?[/QUOTE] Not unless it's pristine and all-OEM. That's pretty steep.
I agree. Paid a little under $300 for one, then $250 for hack services. These saws really come alive when the right recipe is put to it!
