It seems like it may have rattled around in the back of a truck more than it was used. Physically beat but seems to run strong. I'll know more once I give it a workout.

She's a cutter. I cut two rounds off the right side of this oak with the chain that came on the saw. It cut fine, but not impressively. I then swapped for a resharpened chain, cut two more rounds and noodled them into chunks I still couldn't handle. Big difference! Cross-cuts fast and noodles like a hot knife thru butter. I quit at this point, I'm sure the crotch is full of dirt.

I opened up the muffler the other day, piston is nice and shiny. Forgot to take a pic.

Looking a little better now. New plastics just arrived. Shipping from China is getting faster.
Maybe I'll get a Super Magnum decal. That should do as much as a muffler mod and porting. lmao.gif

I was pretty jazzed by the new skins at first. Now they're looking a little gaudy and presumptuous, like lipstick on a pig. Not that I'd put the old ones back on, they were just too tired. Guess I'll have to break them in. Wondering if there's a rat-rod class for saws. Snarling demon under the hood, dirt road beater to the eye.

We here on FHC looking at pretty, shiny saws, but the big deal is the end result. As long as they cut good, they have their place.
