No plans today, but we had a small cookout at the in laws yesterday afternoon. My nephew, who is in the Navy Sea Bee's was visiting along with his friends who are also active Navy. They took in the sights of Boston for two days and saw a Red Sox game with a $9.50 beer.

We had a lot of laughs throwing out our exaggerated New England accents by dropping the last "r" off of words. They say "Norfolk", we say "Nawfawk". I was overly impressed that these young 20 something year olds travel the world and operate heavy equipment as well as have a lot of other learned skills. What a great bunch they were.

Ugh, we are lined up for that rain today. I hope they can get the local parades in.

I think it may finally let up enough here to build a fire in the keyhole pit and do a big batch of vinegar chicken.......I'll post up pics if it actually happens.

My youngest son is on his way home from Kentucky right now, he was at a national speech competition. He won't be home til after 5pm, gonna miss his services helping me cook....his mom and I miss him!

That sounds good. I have to make that chicken sometime.

I made the "state fair chicken" recipe yesterday that Pen posted a while back at the other place. It was his familes recipe made with cider vinegar, mayo, veg oil, poultry seasoning, salt, pepper and an egg.

Yeah, we had that yesterday, but it cleared out to still be a nice day. Hopefully it moves through quickly.

I noticed that last week also when dipping for the minnows. I thought maybe my senses were off.

It's been an above normal temperature spring so far. It makes sense.

So I got my oil changed in the Audi, probably the last oil change I'll do on her with the 12k extended oil change intervals ( 8 qt sump on the v8) , and gave her a bath. I also moved my bike so I can work on it. The Audi is parked outside, so I'll bust ash on getting the bike done.

    Car looks good and clean.

It just isn't warming up around these parts. The high temp of the next 7 days will be one day @ 70! Thats OK with me.

Yeah, this weather is garbage, I wore more polar fleece to see the memorial day parade than I have to some Christmas parades.
Rain on and off all day and a whopping 55 degrees for the high.
Still waiting for that globul warming. ..

It's more instability of weather, than global warming. This is why the weather guessers have to do more models based on what information they have at hand currently, to try and predict what the weather could be.

This was by far one of the nicest memorial day weekends we've ever had here in Wisconsin. It did still rain, but that was only Sunday am. By noon it was sunny and rather nice.

We've had more than our fair share of 50( at best) and rainy memorial day weekends here over the years.
