Picked up a Jonsered 621 saw from friend of mine, put new chain on it and cut up some wood today. Really nice saw, not a high revving screamer but has lots of torque. Anyone else run one of these? image.jpg image.jpg

My neighbour has a 2159 and it's a beauty. Nice looking saw you have there.

Yep Jonsered made some good ole saws. They still make some good saws.

I like the way they put that anti-vibe buffer in the handle. Pretty cool saw.

I had an 89 model Jonsered loved it had heated handles which are awesome up north! it got stoken:mad: still look to replace it miss those heated handles... it had the wider chain .63? still got 5 loops for it in 16... I know came with 16 inch bar which is a thick chain but I was young and never knew to change sprocket to .50

Well Stihl likes to use .063 on their saws so you never know you might end up using them someday.

It is just the width of the driver.

Sprockets go by pitch like 3/8 vs 404. A 3/8 sprocket can handle any gauge like .063 vs .050. But you would need a different bar. I like .063 gauge I think it can carry a little more oil.

Yep, my 029s and my neighbor's new ms362 use .63 with 16" bars.

Jonsereds have been my primary saw for 20 years.
That's a nice looking older model posted by the OP.

Used it a bit , kind of boggy unless at full throttle. Idles nice. And bar oil over oils. Going to take apart and give it some love.

I'm not sure if that's awesome or ghetto. I think I like it.
