43F this AM with steady rain. Brrrrr. Stove got re-fired. I was tired of hearing the LP furnace kick in. Grrrrrr. Red Elm, Silver Maple and E.White Pine in the stove now. Happy wife, happy life! Feels soooo much nicer... Ahhhhhhhhh.

The house is still warm from today. Will probably go with lighting the pellet stove tomorrow morning. Overnight temp expected to be around 32°F

Three days of rain, wind and wood burning at the cottage. One night of fishing with nothing to show for it but a laughing winnow!

We had 46 this morning so those two small fires we had later yesterday did the trick.

Beautiful day today, hit 70°ish, poured footers for a roof over the deck. Had the pellet stove on this morning since it was just about freezing outside

At 0900 when the tree guy arrived for a job it was down to 47ºF. By 1300, when he was done, it was up to 72ºF. A great day for outdoors work.

It's easy on how to do that.....

"Mickey's big hand is on the 12...and Mickeys little hand is on the 9!"

    Helps out every time!

Day is started out with a very mild drizzle and low 40's. We need the moisture since it has been something like over 12 hours now......

We are close to doubling our normal May rainfall total. Scattered showers today but nice tomorrow followed by chances of rain thru next Wednesday. Won't get my garden planted until the middle of June.

We have been lucky so far the last few days as the rain breaks up before it gets to us.

I learned to tell time that way at work, not military. When I spent time in Europe I found that all the natives were telling time that way. These days I am so used to it that I just set my digital watch to show it that way. If I wake up feeling a bit groggy and my watch says 6:00, it is morning. If it says 18:00 it is early evening. Easy preasy.
