    The base of the tree was rotted pretty bad. Snapped and was hung up in another 18 round maple. Perfectly setup downhill fell. Zero pucker factor. Woodpecker holes all over the bottom of the rotten trunk

    Mine looks a lot like that too. I guess a good seal that crushes the can helps keep the moisture out of that 10% ethanol stuff.

    I believe the gnats that you are talking about mirnldi , are none other than the official state bird of NH and Maine. The Black Fly. Their scientific name is "Painus Humungus":hair:
