Isn't it? It has been months since we could get outdoors.

Good work D.D. I really like seeing bare ground right now for some reason! I am enjoying seeing bare pavement here at least. Nothing else is bare, but whatever. Nice job getting that wood home. I am going to go into the woods this week again. Some melting has reduced the depth of the snow here. Time to go in for more! YEAH!

I am ready for a change. Huge snow banks at the end of the road.

There are some heavy/deep drifts that are still very visible and where I pushed and packed the snow in the drive. It's gonna start getting cold again tonight into tomorrow, so I am trying to get as much work done as possible.

Gonna start stacking that massive pile tomorrow. But wanted to get the snags and little leaders down from the treeline. Amish fence is in that treeline and I know they appreciate it. Helps to keep there horses and cows in their pasture.

My day today - First off, threw another chicken in the slow cooker, this time with homemade BBQ sauce. Made breakfast then went down and cleaned the boiler again. Hard to believe it has run 77 hrs. since the last time. NO pics. Once was enough in my fat clothes. While Campinspecter ran the boiler, I made whole wheat honey molasses buns, yeast raised molasses whole wheat bran muffins and cheese /onion buns. Put together lunch/dinner and now I am sitting with a cup of tea surfing the "net". It is snowing in paradise outside. We have 4 - 5 inches and more is coming down.

Went down to Brooklyn to see my daughter and her fiance' this week-end. They will be moving to Maine this summer as he is going to go to law school at U Maine in Portland, so I needed to check something off the bucket list and go to Indian Larry's. The REAL bike builder who died a few years ago in a fall off his bike.

Had some good food in NYC. Indian Larry's is in a hardscrabble Brooklyn neighborhood on Williamsburg.

No drama at all. :) People find the place and walk through the door from all over the world.

More pics of the restaurant we went to a block away and the neighborhood.

Well. I figure I better get a few things done inside early this morning. I went down to camp and it is about 17° outside and the wind is blowing like crazy here. I don't want to work outside cutting wood right now. I think I will wait a few hours and hope the wind dies down some. Only suppose to be a high of 20° today. Not bad if the wind would stop. Time to bring some wood into the house.

This morning I have to go to an appointment to get the taxes done. :( Ugh. Hopefully I can get to work outside today for a while. 9° out, but there is only a very slight breeze. I should be able to do some work out there.

Made it the woods yesterday and scored a truckload of dead Walnut, which is split and stacked in the shed.
Gonna' catch a lil' History channel here in a minute, (nap-nap) and get back to the woods today for some burning of the 2 cycle mix!
A cold snap has returned with a dusting of snow this morning, hopefully the wind chill won't be so bad by the time I get out of doors.
Have a good day and be safe out there. Peace.

Got a load out and started on a second load. Then hit a rock, next to a stump and covered with snow. Decided that was enough. The whole time I have to move slow and carefully. The snow and ice add another danger to the mix. A little at a time though. Took some Ash and Pine in today. About 1/3 of a cord, otherwise known as a Northern New York, Yankee face cord! :D
