After SmokeyTheBear and Grizzly Adam got new computers, I got too envious and had to have a new machine. You know, keeping up to the neighbors. After a lot of shopping and hem and hawing, I order a new machine. I have it now and am learning the potential.
    • 7th Generation Intel Core i7-7700 Processor 3.6GHz with Turbo Boost Technology up to 4.2GHz
    • Windows 10 Home
    • 16GB DDR4 2400MHz UDIMM Memory
    • 2TB 7200RPM SATA3 Hard Drive
    • 8X DVD SuperMulti Double-Layer Drive
    • Intel HD Graphics 630
    • High-Definition Audio with 5.1 Channel audio support
    • Digital Media Card Reader -Secure Digital (SD) Card
    • 802.11ac WiFi
    • Bluetooth 4.0 LE
    • 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet LAN (RJ-45 port)
    • 3 - USB 3.0 Ports (2 Front, 1 Rear)
    • 4 - USB 2.0 Ports (Rear)
    • 1 - HDMI Port with HDCP support
    • 1 - VGA Port
    • USB Keyboard and Optical Mouse

This should be all the machine I might need for a long time to come. I only used about 20% of My I3 's memory. Just wanted something faster. Indeed, this one is faster.

Acer. All the reviews were fairly consistent. I wanted the SSD drive, but couldn't find it in the format or price range. I was told the turbo drive will achieve what I was looking for. I had found a Dell I liked, but it was out of stock everywhere. This machine was all the $ I wanted to lay out.

Can't tell if you be happy or sad........

A lil too sticky for me with the current 93º. So no dancin here!! Should start cooling off, So no a/c. Window fans will be turned on soon. Kept the windows closed so the house stayed fairly cool. Just a few fans moving some air around(and one aimed right at me). Getting some take out and maybe a dairy queen for desert?? ;)

Looks like a more enjoyable weekend. :seasoned:on Saturday and some :grizz: with smoothies for Sundays forecast. :D

Way too early for blocking windows. 90's yesterday and today but cooling off tomorrow and back to 65-70 degrees by the weekend while talking possible frost warning sat night in some areas. Fans should do it tonight

Well, decided the new central A/C is working great, so I took the window unit out of the BR, and same for the portable unit in the LR. Time to do some selling on CL.

96* on my truck display on the way home from work and the humidity is noticeable. Highlife is going down smooth after 30 min in the freezer.

you sure do. I am not going to even attempt to keep up with what you are building. I hope you have a decent sound system to play all those movies and sounds you are collecting.

Some flashing going on outside. No booms yet. I guess its just heat lightning?

Radar shows a storm coming, But may go just north of us.

Wednesday we got up to 93 at my place and yesterday the top temp was 96. House was 80 even with all the shades and curtains drawn to keep solar gain out. Had a great lightning display as I got home from work about 9 pm and then the wind really kicked into gear. It also rained but I have no idea how hard, how much or when (besides between 10pm last night and 3:30 this morning). Should be cooler today and I left a couple of windows open to help the house keep cooler.

Boomer hit around 11:00 PM last night. Big boom's shook the shack and rattled the windows. Got a good bit of rain and wind. And much cooler this AM.

    Happy Friday!
