Yup, water level is a bit high now, but I never had to take the dock back out. One year, the water was over the end of the dock!

G' Monday monin... :coffee::coffee:... shop's warming up (very grateful for heat & dryness on 45 degree rainy days like this)... time to put another trash load together for tomorrow's open transfer station. Still lots of chit that has to go... :dex:... :picard:

Well, I got out of bed this morning. Bones are creaking today. We got the drywall primed and painted. Now waiting for a window to arrive to finish it. Went out and did some gardening. I hacked and pruned; campinspecter hauled it away. Talked Mom into putting some furniture up for sale. All in all it was a good day. The entrance and ramp is getting used.

Yesterday afternoon the little hummers finally showed up and were looking for food. I mixed a batch of sugar water for them and hung it out in their normal spot. They are now happy. Every year they come to the patio door where we hang the feeder and flutter around until we notice them. Smart little buggars.

Managed to get 6 sheets of OSB attached to the ceiling in the garage and also ran a new circuit for three lights in the attic. When I insulate the attic, the lights will help out since there will be no light other than those three bulbs in there...excepting whatever filters in from the ridge vent...
I also made accommodations to hang an exterior light on the gable end of the garage....that is, I put some bracing up to mount the light onto..

I'm sure I'll pay for it all tomorrow. ;)

Those kind of docks are great for waterskiing from. You can stay nearly dry if you're good that way.;)

New brakes on the mowing trailer today. While I was in there, I did all new bearings also. Being able to confidently stop your load.................priceless.

Ok, I aerated my acre of land with my Bayou with the aerator I borrowed from my buddy. It was a little more hassle with the newly buried dog E fence, but no biggie. IMG_20170515_200416962.jpg

I drove one handed, with a beer in the other hand. Gooder

How do you like the aerator? Does it leave a big enough hole to spread compost over and seed?

I think so. I'll be the first to admit I'm no lawn snob. The "cores" are at least 5/8" in diameter.

It looks like a terrier pooped all over the lawn.:picard:

It seems to work well. I had to keep it under 30 mph though.

Naw, I put it in low, and ran it in first gear..

It just rained on my way home too, that bayou 4wd doesn't tear up the lawn at all, light one handed steering too. Much lighter steering than my Polaris sportsman I was driving a lot last weekend.

Today was spent running around and getting some paperwork in order so tomorrow will be a day in the woods.

I'll be cleaning some branches off the top of that sand hill so I can move more of it with the tractor.
