Gotta say though, that tick didn't like having a fresh, minty smell and played dead real quick :D (I dumped it in some mouthwash as I couldn't find the rubbing alcohol and not wasting any vodka on it).

Yesterday was one long-azz day. I got up at my usual 3:30 am, was out the door about 4:35 and at work at 5:15. Left work at 3:30 pm got home close to 4:30 (road construction sucks) and mowed for the first time. Not that it couldn't use it before but it has been really wet - and even yesterday there were a lot of places that I couldn't get. BTW - the new (used) mower works real nice.

After mowing, I finished a couple of other domestic chores then headed to my night job. I normally don't work on Friday's (the place I clean is only open M-TH), but since I had my monthly LOH meeting this week, the cleaning got pushed off until Friday. I got there about 7pm and left about 10:20.

Oh, and you know that "I normally don't work Fridays" thing? Since early April I have been covering Friday nights for the place next to my regular night job - so I did that one too. Got home shortly before 1 AM this morning. (as an aside, starting in April I was supposed to go to 3 nights a week - that hasn't worked out so well for me :hair:).

So can I be forgiving if I slept in until 6:30 this morning? Did some 'net surfing, gathered the trash and went to the dump. Then headed to HD to pick up stuff I had ordered. OHH LORDY - WHAT THE HECK IS SHE DOING NOW ?

I can say with authority that from the dash just to the left of the passenger seat, to the door at the very left, back corner, is just under 10' - those metal strapping pieces are 10' even and I couldn't quite close the top half of the back door. I don't know why they didn't do something smart and allow the passenger seat backrest to fold forward at least most of the way - as it did for my previous 2 or 3 SUV's. Oh well, I got it home without poking any holes in anything, or having it fall out the back..

Didn't make as much progress as I wanted. But when you don't get home until noon, eat lunch then knock off at 4, I guess I can't expect too much. Hopefully I make some headway tomorrow after some sleep and I can do a partial reveal.

    Not a lot accomplished today.
Attended my grandson's ball game. They won.
Worked up a section of the flower bed and planted some Coleus. Grilled some steaks and then watered the garden plants.

Morning all. Weird weather yesterday ending up in a downpour. Could be hit or miss this morning. Off to Mom's to prime the drywall and then paint the wall that the new door is in. If it dries out, I might get some gardening in as well. Going to be a busy day.
