We buy all our fuel at the cardlock station (Pacific pride) and they have a NON ETHANOL premium pump in the line up.

I use this stuff in the Smart car and for the yard tools.

Smart car gets around 5 mpg better on the premium fuel ( Recommended anyway)

Not many non ethanol pumps over yonder and its really $$$. Octane is also way to high for street cars or yard tools IMHO. 98 octane is the lowest near me and its still a haul to go fetch.......... So its the canned gas if I need it...
    Ethanol-free gas stations in CT

Wish there was an alternative. I would much rather not have ethanol in my boat gas. BS that I have no option for an off road application. But thats CT for ya. We need to move from this crap state!!

I just recently bought one of these Ego battery leaf blower....works great. The same 56v battery powers a lot of accessories, including a mower, and the battery re-charges fast. The string trimmers all get good reviews on Amazon, but I read that unless you buy them at Home Depot, the company won't honor the warranty:

Unbelievably, that car is supposed to run on premium... :headbang:......so the timing is set for premium. Anything less is going to hurt the mileage.

Octane is not gonna hurt anything.

Octane rating is the fuels resistance to detonation and really not much more.

I have run yard tools on 115-145 Av gas with zero issues.
Just a waste of $$$ to burn the stuff in a weed whacker

I tried the regular/10% ethanol stuff with my first Smart and the mileage went in the toilet.

The tank was topped off at the dealer when we got it and the first fill up saw 36 mpg town.

The next tank was mostly the cheap crap and the mpg dropped to 32 and then with a full load of cheap regular it dropped to 28 mpg.

    Nooooooooooooooo.

Took a look in the fuel door (Duh) and it says to use 91 minimum.

I use 92 non ethanol from Pride.

Routinely get 36 town and near 60 hwy mpg.

The computer on the Widdle Smart really cuts things back on the cheap gas.

Timing curve and likely the fuel curve too.

No rot gut for wee car.

My Etec(a Di injected 2 stroke) has a recommended range of 87 to 89 and dealer stated it's best to stay in that range. They did not recommend I burn race gas, Not only as a waste of $$ but also because its not tuned to run that high of an octane level. With the outboard still being under warranty, I'm following their rules!! Yet the lil 4 stroke I bought a few years back the dealer filled my first tank with 98 octane race gas. Love the smell of that stuff, But no way in heck was I slingin $8.00 a gallon(back then). I ran 91 and a marine additive for the ethanol. Was like $3 and change for comparison.......

I run 87 octane and a marine fuel additive/stabilizer in the Etec. So far no issues. And I keep an eye on the water separator! I also try to use the busiest pump in town to avoid any gas that sits around(IE water absorption).

Snowed last night mixed with heavy rain. Didn't stick in the grass, but everywhere the roof dumped, there is a pile of slush

Same here but add in the backpack leaf blower. It more expensive but no ethanol and both run well on it. Fall is when we might go tbhough a case of it cleaning up the leaves. The saw doesn't go through so much.

Nope - you can keep it up there on the hill. I am really surprised that any of it made its way down in the valley! However, you can have the burbling stream making its way across my back yard - although the Lily of the Valley's seem to like it.

Nope, you get to keep the burbling stream .. I like Lily of the Valley, they smell nice. ( Better than I usually do: see next sentence. )

Going out to play in the snow now, aka: 'take trash to the dump'.

I wonder if I can use the lawn mower to blow sn!w.
