Myself, I would much rather process wood than pick up sticks and mow the dang grass:D

Definitely process wood. If I could afford it, I would cement the whole acre and paint it green.

I have to admit that chlorophyll stock slicing and wood processing are two of my least favorite chores...wait...processing...including stacking? That's the part I really don't care for. I don't mind the splitting.

For about 6 months out of the year my yard is dirt/mud. Depending in the season. For 3 of those its a clover. For the other 3 it doesnt fall under any kind of defined title. Best is rock. The percentage of yard becoming wood cover is probably 25 percent. And growing.

Dunno about cement but leveled area with gravel. Stack my pallets and my wood there. Categorized.

That is a tough choice!! I don't think I can decide-2 of my favorite activities. I cut wood and don't burn it, and I mow my house, my mother's, and a piece of property I own-about 9 acres total.

Mowing is all done, trimming is not.
Time to go for a walk

This was a tough one for me as I like to mow my lawn. It takes hour and a half so it's a nice break. But it can't compete with running chainsaws, a splitter, and my loader!!!

We pay the kids (bribe) to mow the yard, this is the only thing they can do around here to earn money.
I would rather do something productive like split and stack for the winter instead of waste time on a never ending task (the church has a huge yard)

You need to add the same two questions directed at the better halves. They might go with the grass cutting instead of the wood hoarding:yes:

Things really changed for me since I got the lawn tractor. I enjoy mowing now, actually look forward to it.

I like the tractor for mowing as well. Too bad it doesn't do all of the lawn. I have to use the walk behind for parts of the lawn.

Lawn tractor does the bulk of it, push mower and weed wacker does the rest.
I would still rather process wood then ride around on the lawn tractor

I enjoy both and currently behind on both...too much rain. Hopefully I can get caught up on the lawn tomorrow.

I'd rather be doing either at this point...instead, I'm wrenching on my damm zero turn while the grass is getting taller by the minute. The left hydraulic pump committed suicide, and spread metal filings into the hydro motor on the same side. Had to buy a new pump to the tune of $1,100, and had to dismantle the drive motor and clean/replace seals and bearings, then reassemble everything. It was either that or scrap the whole thing and spend several more thousand. I really had no good options.

Under usual circumstances, I prefer wood processing...the mowing takes 3+ hours, even with a fast commercial mower.

I like mowing grass in the spring to mid summer, and by then I am looking forward to fall and switching to wood processing. It works out well as i dont enjoy cutting wood when its hot out, would rather do it when its cold.

No lawn for me, nothing but pine needles and natural duff. Of course, with wildfire season approaching, I should be raking and burning. Doesn't matter, I'd much rather be cutting, splitting and stacking. There's a definite, tangible payoff come November. Besides, I look MUCH more manly with a chainsaw than with a rake.
