Jeez, Burning in May!

    Some of you more Northerly Neighbors prolly don't find this unusual, but down here, it is almost unheard of. Usually, we get a few cold snaps (our last frost date is after Mothers Day), but I usually tough it out, as we tend to go straight to 80 degrees PDQ.
    Today has been the third straight evening with 63 degree temps inside, and I got tired of being chilly, so put another load in the stove. Luckily, because of the mild winter, I have plenty of wood left from this year.

    Ozzy plopped his fine self right down in front just as soon as the blower came on.

    I threw a small fire together in the wood stove Tuesday evening....it was about 4.62° (F's) warmer outside than in:hair:
    but opening the windows instead just wasn't gonna do it...
    Of course the OAT got into the mid 70's yesterday :whistle:

    I opened the windows last week, it was so nice--every surface in the house was covered in pollen and dust...:bug:

    It's mormal (new word) up here but after the warmer winter we had, we were hoping for a early/warmer spring but it's been colder and a wet one.

    Yep. I started a fire this morning. Probably keep it going till the rain moves out Sunday morning. I don't mind the cool temps but throw in a steady light rain and I want to dry the air out inside.

    I'm still roasting pellets mid 60's inside isn't gonna work. Down in NC right now yesterday was 85* today in the 60's yoyo temps everywhere
