I was wondering where all of you buy your safety gear from I got most of mine from Amazon but I don't think they have the best prices

I looked around for some time back - ebay and amazon were comparable. It all depends what you want and if you have time to look. I just picked up a pair of Stihl Woodcutters for my brother-in-law for 25 bucks at the pawn shop. I got lucky with mine - Sherrilltree with kevlar - flea market for 10 bucks.

No matter what you paid I see safety gear as a good investment. With the exception of gloves most of it should last for years.

I bought my chaps at the NYS logger's show. I got Labonville chaps for $75 I think-best price I have seen.

I think a lot of guys every year buy their chaps at ruralking. They have a super deal on them every year. I think it's like $20 or 30.

Something to be aware of if you order chaps online as opposed to in a shop where you can try the fit. The length is from the top of the chaps , not the inseam ,as it is with pants . So, if you have, say, a34 inch inseam ,you'll need around a 40 inch length in chaps . Also, Labonville has a good selection of chaps .
