    My wife and I will be bicycling from our home near Rabbit Hash, KY to Niagara Falls and then on to Chatham, New York. We're hoping to put a few lovely faces with all the names and great conversations here at FHC.

    The first link is our route from home to Niagara Falls and the second link is our route from the falls to Chatham. Check it out and see if you are close. If so, maybe we can grab a bite and a cold one.

    Union - Buffalo - A bike ride in Boone County, KY

    Buffalo - Chatham - A bike ride in Buffalo, NY

    Our planned departure is Monday, June 5. That date could change a bit depending on the weather.

    Ok...when you are at the 386 mile mark in Ashtabula, Ohio is that a stopping point of some sort? Lunch? Dinner? Lodging? I'd like to help....

    Somewhere the 4th or 5th day. Exact timing that far out is somewhat uncertain. I will contact you the day we leave and along the way. If the timing works out for you maybe we'll fell a big oak! :D Thanks for your reply!

    We have a cabin that you are welcome to stay in.
    I rode a bicycle to Calafornia when I was young , good trip

    It looks like you'll be on the bike path that runs along the Mohawk River. That's a nice ride, very beautiful and mostly flat.

    Yep, mostly the Erie Canal Trail. There are a few sections that use the roads so there will be a few hills. But we're from Kentucky, well for the last 30 years, so we are used to hills. We've crossed the Alps several time in France, Germany, Austria, and Northern Italy. I used to sponsor a ride here called The Brass Monkey Winter Challenge. It had 10k feet of climbing in 100 miles and was held in mid January.

    I'm about 20 miles off your route at the NY/PA state line. If you get in a pinch I'll do what I can. I'm in my busy season so a meet up is prolly out of the question .
