That's how I stack, but I've had problems with end braces failing and splits that are a little too long between the braces. Now I use 2 tee posts to support the end pallet instead. Seriously thinking about building a roof over them now that I've worked out the stacking.
Ya might wanna split that paper birch before it rots in the round..... Follow the link..... Live from the 2017 MI GTG @ Backwoods Savage's
Already notched it on the side. I actually plan on doing this Thursday as it is supposed to be about 80 degrees. Perfect weather to run the new splitter for hours and get some logs done. No fooling around I wanted this split a long time ago but the noodled stuff was harder to split than I thought. Like it chunks out a lot.
And remember you all, stacking your wood on pallets works best when you put them on cinder blocks or such to keep your wood off of the ground. Let that air circulate up and through your stacks. I've got over 40 years of experience with that.
If you just start saying "decades" instead of putting a number on the years, I found that it's not as sobering....
I did start putting done on blocks. On my drying racks anyways. All seasoned wood is temporary until I build a shed next year
