    I turned into a pallet hoarder as well I'll take more pics. Neighbor gave me some 8 foot hardwood pallets the other day :dex:. I have short ones,long ones, heck I even have plastic ones :D

    You're not alone. In one night I grabbed about 16 heavy duty ones made in canada these have some really hefty stringers and slats. Not your average ones with the thin slats that are a 1/4 inch, likely an inch or more. They take the weight a lot better and Im tempted to put my other stacks on them since they work so well.

    Definitely see now a wider range of pallets that are made of different woods. Taken me a few months but I started looking at the grain a bit more. Sometimes they got so much dirt from the rain on them its hard to tell but now its not so bad. Seen Cherry Maple, Oak and pine/ fir being the most common.

    I love white oak pallets there almost as good as plastic.

    I found a couple of those and big red oak skids. The red oak skids are worth more as firewood for me than as a stack up.

    I use them to build things too. Pallets are very versatile around my house and yard.

    I just saw a pic in the Big house wood pile that a couple the bottom and top slats off 2 pallets and its a saw buck! I made one with two $2 studs but thats just to get me started.
