We are going to paint them and put in a bigger post but this week looks like a damp one so it can wait. Cliff was suppose to call me before they surveyed it but that didn't happen. We've found all three (we found the first two years back) but since I never worked that area it wasn't a big deal. The line that runs in behind Cliff's house gives us more dead pine then I thought.
We have some rain (nothing heavy) and 39 out so we'll hold off on the splitting until tomorrow unless the weather is chitty.
Just dropped a couple iffie cherry yesterday for a friend down the road woods. He will get about 60ft of solid wood to have milled and the rest in the stove.
If I can get the splitter started, I plan on starting this tomorrow. After I get this done I'll be moving six f/c from one area to another so we can drop a pine and then fill that area back up.
Cherry is real gooder, I love it. I have two trees of it so far this year, and I figure a few more coming my way.
I burned some really well seasoned stuff from a CL pick up. Wasn't worth noting since most of it was cedar that partially rotted or just plain pit wood. The cherry heart I put ontop of a good blaze was a wonderful blue in a matter of an hour. Outstanding.
