With the pump/well debacle behind us and all the trickle down failures (Leaking toilet valves, plugged faucet screens, yada, yada yada...) we are pretty much back to normal around here.

First full night last night without a fire.
Was only 64 F in the house when I rolled out about 6 ish this morning, but a fire in the big Whit is handling things nicely.

Been still working on the master bath revamp.... Arrrrrgh

The new tub needed a safety bar to be able to get in and out of it and factory built stuff was just not gonna cut it.

Decided that the only decent solution was to build from scratch.

Bought some Aluminum bar stock and got some 1-3/4" tubing bent to my specs, and off to the rodeo.

Things sort of turned into a work in progress.

Got the main upright set into location and then the need for a horizontal cross bar was very obviously a good idea to add strength as well as provide a place to hang clothes that don't go through the drier etc.

Then came the idea for an integral TP roll holder, yeah buddy.

A bit of overkill, but its all ready for paint now.

Still need to texture and paint the front cover over the tub area and the step as well as install the tub surround panels.

Once the new tub is fully operational then the old tub on the other side of the room goes away as well as the single sink vanity and the linen cabinet.

Found a lovely dual sink set up with Oak cabinet and a huge linen cabinet that matches the vanity.

    Another great Craig's list score.

Gonna be sweet when it's done.

Actually more room and more usable space in the area.

Started a tile floor a while back after we tore out the carpet, and then the idea of a complete makeover was hatched.
So now I got to get creative to make the tile we have cover more area.

Sadly the color/style is probably not available, but we shall see

    Franken house

Trying to get the bath safety rail to fit straight sand level and be sturdy really became a problem, as I had originally planned on building a jig/fixture outside and welding the parts together.

Then the issue of a wall that was not straight became evident, sooooooooo I decided to make it modular and go together like an erector set.

Here are some pix of the rough aluminum stock and the finished parts.

I duplicated the large tube adapter piece to allow hanging the TP roll assembly.

I robbed the end knobs off the original TP holder and threaded them into a longer bar to allow a two roll assembly.

Hell for stout, but gonna gitterdone nicely, and at minimal cost.

Is it me? Or are things a bit early this year. Thunder boomers already? Lilacs are about to bloom and the rhododendron ain't far behind. Water temp is above 60 ºF and we've already transitioned to shallow water tactics to boat some bass. Should be bedding soon.

I don't know about being loaded but 30 odd cents I can get from the end of the driveway via empty bud light cans.

I have a nice Worx leaf blower which I used to clean out the convection blower while turning some Fasco recommended lubricant into the motor bushings. Works really well cleaning and lubricating the device.

    It's you man.

Well, I thought it was until I started looking at pics from the last couple of years. My yard is about at the same place as it was last year - forsythia, a couple of daffodils and hyacinths started to bloom last weekend (almost exactly the same day as last year). However,, in 2015, things didn't start blooming until close to mid May.
