Even with an automatic, I use the parking brake regularly. It takes the pressure off of the parking pawl in the tranny. Ever park on a hill and it takes effort and a loud clunk to shift out of park? I hate that sound and it cant be good for the pawl so I use the brake.

Feel better after that.? . I know it the only sure way to keep your personal history private is to destroy the hard drives.

Bears, that is one critter I haven't seen in my woods, doesn't mean that they aren't around. One of my friends in another town had one up on their second floor deck. It wasn't STB. He was home beating up on his old hard drive.

The most messy kind of tree that I know of. Nothing but problems with willows.

Ive had them here pretty regularly. Ive been told that there is a den not far from here so they come around now and then, mostly in the spring before the natural food has grown. I havnt had one in the last 2 seasons-at least that I have been aware of. This time of year I generally take the feeders in overnight until maybe mid summer. They are not aggressive and will beat feet easily-just make sure it isnt mama bear with cubs.

Thus morning was easily the largest I have seen, as The Donald would say-it was HUUUUUGE

In my previous home, the next door neighbor has a rear deck that is about 18' above the ground, and has about 20+ steps up to it, including a gate......STB's cousin trashed the bird feeders up there too.

Seems if you ever drove manual, using a parking brake is second nature. Even on an automatic.

The parking brakes on cars of the 60s or 70s would freeze in the winter. I learned not to use it. Now I do apply it to protect the parking pawl if needed. And I request that customers apply it before I push a skid of pellets the last foot on the truck.

Well, it is always parked on a flat, so I don't have to worry about it :)

Yeah, the only good thing about mine is it shades the sunny side of the house during the summer. Well, that and I'm sure it keeps that side of the yard drier than it would be otherwise - there is a swamp over there and willows like to drink up plenty of water.

At my previous house we had a bear on the deck a couple of times. Only difference between your scenario and mine was the deck was about 5 fett above ground. The gate. I surprised one once and it bend the gate as it had to go on top of it to get to the steps.

Had a neighbor that had an enclosed deck 6-7 feet above ground. It was enclosed with glass panes and they hung up hummingbird feeders suctioned to the glass. You could see the paw prints from bears that were stretched for all they were worth trying to get to the sugar water.

Interesting, since I have had manual vehicles since 1987 and still rarely use parking brakes (my current car is a manual - the Explorer is the first automatic that I've had since 1987 and I've only had it 1.5 years). Course I don't normally have to park on hills - if I did, I would use them all the time. And, my bike doesn't have a parking brake :p

For everyone's info, it's not my stove.
I've seen a older Harman with the same color, the one that would be at home of the Adam's family house. I forget the name or is it I don't want to remember:p

I started the cleaning of the stove for it's summer nap and lost one of the combustion fan nuts, I think it might be in the shop vac. The only thing left to do on it is the convection fan. Now I get to use my anderol.
