And subsequently bringing it to Dennis' too, right?! Pics of Barcroftb's & HDRock's rods in Michigan back woods.....
Dennis uses 16" so probably the same. We could cut some dead ash 26" for the fire pit and Save the wet oak for the wood stove later
I lost one that I made out of the whip antenna, had to buy another $3 magnet and make another one, not much to it though, easy to lose. This one will be much easier to see, don't want to lose $30 tool. I might also get some of that pink tape bogydave uses
I got to use my Accu Stick Pro the other day. Works great, well made accessory. When I get done I just stuck it on the cool muffler and put the saw away. I see they are selling them at Bailey's now too
Sorry for the... Did you see the setup that Chvymn99 had? This reminded me of that. It used air couplings and just screwed to the bar studs. I thought it pretty slick.
No I didn't see it I didn't have my telescope handy Chvymn99 is a creative guy, I'm sure he will put a picture in here for me though
I'm going to use the ott accu-stick on the side of one of those too. That one walt brewed up seemed to work great!
I think he started with one of these and added a little metal rod for a length guide. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Olympia-...93696&wl11=online&wl12=42666430&wl13=&veh=sem
That's helpful. I improvised one with a smaller magnet, and it tends to vibrate out of place and run into the chain. If it gets to the teeth, the magnet is hard enough to do damage. I was happy with the basic idea though -- I got a magnet with a countersunk hole in the middle, put an appropriately-sized flathead screw through it and threaded it into a piece of white plastic tubing from the big box store. Here's a magnet similar to yours, direct from China for $5.
