Yeah, that one doesn't look like the healthiest tree.. Looks like there's another real nice oak to back it up though!

I know its gotta be painful as a wood burner watching it go - perhaps you could try, "the end around"? Tell the tree service you want it - I'm sure they'd rather not haul it. That could be some sweet revenge! Stack it into a wall so you don't need to look at them again (for 3 years)!

what does massacre mean to you? the indiscriminate and brutal slaughter--to butcher--to take away my shade to make me put a roof on my tiki bar--the wood? not a trace remains by the time I get home--it's as if it never was there--except the sawdust, leaves, twigs etc all over my roof and mulched landscaping--I wasn't going to clean up but expecting rain today and that mess stuck on the roof was a greater evil than getting up there last night and blowing it off--then it was down below and I had to clean that--my cat is back although bewildered--we are plotting together--and the lower part of the oak was mossy--solid as the day is long--and don't bet the other oak isn't to follow--you can't fix dumb

You really have to get over this tree thing from the neighbors! It's sounds like it is eating you up.
It's hard enough to live our own lives (sometimes) let alone make decisions for our neighbors that they won't follow anyway. Just let it go. 1.....2......3.....4.....5...you get the idea.

But just think of that nice oak and all the wood that has gone to somewhere else??? :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:
    :p

God grant us the serenity to accept the things we cannot change, the courage to change the things we can, and the wisdom to know the difference. :)

image (2).jpg 0615162050.jpg alright--it's over--I've cleaned up the trimmings and calmed down--the 2nd oak seems to have been trimmed up but not taken down (YEAH) and the lines of neighborly communication can begin--just not with me... skycam is where tree used to be and where sun will now bake my pie

:picard:Not to dredge up old news but my city neighbors have arrived for the weekend and guess what? They brought their own wood! Same neighbor who decimated my shade by taking down the oak! I have 12+ cords of which I would love to share if they had only asked....things don't seem right in neighborville......:picard:

Maybe you should have been nicer to her, you just missed out on s major score of oak. The tree was coming down no matter what, now you are without the tree and the wood. If she has more trees, you may want to butter her up!

Keep it friendly with the city folk. If they are weekenders I can see the leaves bothering them. But if they think your wood is a eyesore they might get the ear of a sympathetic town official.....
