No, if they are not from MI they do not get reused, they go to the trash or if going into recycling, they have to be rinsed as does all bottles, like soaps, etc. We have to be very careful too because I'm quite involved with Waste Management in this county. Would be a shame to get caught doing something we aren't supposed to do. lol I remember talking to someone else on the team who is higher than me and she told me she caught her husband putting some things into recycling and almost went berserk. Guess there were some uncomfortable times in that house for a couple of days. :bug:

Speaking of sleeping where it is warm, ask My IS heats my home about warm sleeping conditions!  I was a bit disappointed that DexterDay didn't get to experience the heat from a Fireview.

Maybe I'll work on that today. Yet, we're a bit undecided if we should hang it or just sit it along a wall.

I'm thinking our early estimates may have been a bit high. However, one area where the guys were cutting I have not got back to yet so can't estimate how much is cut into logs. A couple cord that the ladies split, probably at least 2 more that the guys split. Redneck split a whole bunch all by himself and most of that was from last year's pine and spruce. Thank you Redneck! Probably 2 cord or more from the oaks. It all adds up.

I just bought a 120' of Arbor-Plex, ya think that's good enough for bull rope, as long as the trees are not to big?

That's climbing rope, not really intended for pulling down big trees, but might be ok for smaller stuff and light rigging.

I'd look into something a little fatter....maybe 3/4.....if you're gonna be pulling heavy loads.

Just be using it for 10-12" stuff, guiding and pulling down widow-makers, mostly dead popular

1/2" 16 strand braided runs around 8000lbs average breaking strength.

5/8" moves that up to around 18,000lbs. If you're going to be rigging anything heavier than that...... don't. :jaw: :)

    What I got is 12 strand 6000lb
I have pulled down smallish trees with 1100lb
I got half inch so it would fit in my snatch block

I like the heavier rope for rigging.....I'm called "overkill" for a reason.....lol

But you should be fine with the rope you have for what you're gonna be doing. Just keep your limits in mind.

I have a 5/8", 150' bull rope. I think I've used it maybe half a dozen times in the last 30 years. Guess I'll never earn the title "overkill". [IMG]

Using the rope with the 3/4 ton Rope puller, the puller would be the weakest link
