I'm looking forward to getting back up to camp. Lots of family issues taking precedence at the present time. Great pics Well Seasoned, Thanks for reminding me what I'm working for!
I've been working for....... what, stripping, sanding, cleaning, brightening, staining the deck? Could've used the fishing licences i just bought instead! Fishing location...... down past mt washington place to a parking area for some native trout!
There are a lot of good spots all along the Ammonusuc. I imagine the water is still pretty high though.
Yea, its moving! But that makes it more challenging. 10 and 2, 10 and 2 with a little skoal by the fishing hole!
If you haven't been, you've got to get to the Upper falls, and then to the Lower falls on the Ammonusuc. I took WeldrDave and his wife Chrissy to them, they were impressed.
On the Androscoggin, or a tributary? My old back yard. I'm seriously thinking of getting out to Maine and New Hampshire after labor day, and before the leaf peepahs invade. My wife's never seen that area of the country.
No, the Androscoggin is about 20 miles north and east of us coming down out of Errol down through Berlin and heading east into Maine. The Ammonusuc forms off of 12 brooks coming down from Mt. Washington and goes west into join the Connecticut river and comes out in Long Island Sound 400 miles away.
I used to live in Bethel, Maine. Outside of town just enough. Just north of mt Abram ski resort. So, a pretty quick jaunt to Mt Washington.
after labor day and before the leaf peepers, and then after leaf drop and before the skiers and early spring are my favorite times to be up in the mountains. So damm peaceful, and not having to drive in circles to avoid traffic is a plus too!
