Looks good Horkn ... wish you could charge the rental place for the new belts and your time to replace them. Maybe you did?

We have 90 saplings to plant today. In February when you order them it seems like a great thing, but in April when you get them you say "What the heck was I thinking?"

Should be at least 61 degrees today. The sun is shining bright. Time to split some wood with the American Woodsplitter.
IMG_3002.JPG I'll wait until 9:30 before I start making any noise outside this morning. In case the neighbors are enjoying the peace and quiet.

I just about finished up with a wood storage rack in a corner of the basement. I had some items stored here, but it would make a good storage area. I put up some insulation and 1 x 8 rough pine for the walls.

I was using two of those filmsy metal shelving to hold short pieces of old furniture. The shelves were in the middle of the floor in the way. Ill get some shop space real estate back now. It may seem unorganized, but it is all stacked by wood species, and I can see exactly what I have. The wood boxes on the right wall hold old spindles and hardware.

After the rain yesterday, the sun is out and I will get out for some yard work.

Got up and looked outside. It is supposed to be raining today. Looks nice outside. We are going on a road trip today. Shopping in the big smoke. campinspecter put up a new fence to shorten up the yard and we are returning the leftover pieces and I am getting some ink supplies and wool for a knitting project. I hope it doesn't rain too hard.

Spent yesterday evening and this morning putting together the lathe. With the exception of tightening the motor pulley to the lathe pulley (after they are squared up) I'm ready to go!

99 spent most of yesterday burning more leaves; yard is starting to look nice again!

Also managed to put the dock in, dig up and transplant some flowers.

Wife has to stay home, but SisIL and I are going to Gaylord on Friday to pick up some trees.
They both want Walnut trees. My wife thinks one in the yard will be big enough to plant her ashes under by the time she's gone.
It's a romantic notion, but our grandson will have to dig the hole, 'cause by that time, I'll be lucky if I can even lift the shovel.
