My systems are easy to work on mostly open space it is the bear that is my problem. I am a little slow now. Left paw is still only partly useable. Fine motor control is still a bit slow. Makes handling screws a bit funny for me.

Partly, but the young & old alike want electronics that perform fast, weigh less than a pound or two, and are durable enough to survive every day (ab)use..
Plastics are light, only (1) intake port on the device: heat is disbursed internally via a copper strip, or to a metal back-plate on the keyboard above..

The newer low-wattage laptops have fan assemblies that almost require using a can of store-bought 'compressed air' (or air dialed -way down-, using an air-brush regulator) to clean - otherwise you're potentially 'spinning a bearing' on the fan motor. The blades are so tight, it almost requires disassembly clean if blocked w/ heavy lint or pet hair. :(

Mine are up top now in my monitor, but my older cpu's, everytime I looked the heatsink and fans were had junk on them. I had them in best places I could to protect them and still let them breath, but. Hope fully this one up top stays cleaner longer.

Getting them off the ground helps a lot WW - always recommend cleaning in Spring, and late Fall, for laptops and the newer 'all-in-one' desktop units to clients.

    * Now that I wrote that - I'm as guilty as anyone: I've got a bunch of IT equipment here to clean. :picard:

(This is also a good time to check the wiring & plugs on those power bricks: and order a replacement, if any issues.)

It's cool you're still at it David and getting it done - slow and steady always 'wins the race' here.

I'm fortunate to have a good magnetic hobby screwdriver set: with all the (tiny) screws I pull out of these laptops, I'd be hunting for hours on the floor after dropping one, or three.

I remember about 25 years ago being at work and trying to get one of our backup tapes unjammed by unscrewing the case to free up the tape from the previous day's backup. With a magnetic screwdriver

    :emb:

I specifically looked for electric start. Never had to use it on the old one, but nice to know it's there if needed! I had forgotten about the skid shoes being in the description - bonus . And had no idea about the pin on the axle - you know more about it than I do after just looking at a pic :faint:

I never had to do more than 3 pumps on the old snow blower, so expected it to be the same with this one. Course keeping it in a relatively warm garage (never less than 25* since I've been here), but I will keep your experience in mind.

Hmm, that fuel shut off thing could be bothersome. What do you do to cure that when it happens? Always nice to have the info - so I can forget it and panic :picard:

I researched the heck out of snow blowers and the SnowTek had very good user ratings everywhere I looked. Couldn't pass up the end of season deal, especially with the free shipping thrown in.
