Its not me.;) Did see the listing on Wednesday though. Average $55 per saw, could be a great deal to the right person.

Pass. I have enough projects without taking on a new one.

Same here! In way over my head at the moment :faint: and work really gets in the way of progress, but I guess you've got to fund the projects somehow.

I might be me. I'm not seeing a deal even on that many saws. Over half look like they have been scavenged for parts, 1/4 look like "complete" saws and missing chains. 1/4 are not even near a scavenged saw. The bars and chains are probable questionable. Who know's what condition the p/c's are in. Lets say 5 are worth $100, 3-4 at $200 and 1 at $350-400 IF put together as runners with b/c. So maxed $1700, $1200 more likely, as running saws if you can sell them. Now what if the p/c on the potential runners are bad and no matching parts saw. There is a reason the saws are still sitting there... $1500 less on the lot someone might bite.

damm Mark you put a lot of thought into that statement! I saw it and wondered how long they have been sitting in that exact spot?

Looks like the original listing was April 18th. I just found this. Just above the description on an ebay listing there is a "Last updated on" and "View all revisions" which will give you all the dates that anything was done with the add.

I bought two pioneer RA's on Ebay off of a guy east of Harrisburg PA last fall, went and picked them up in person. This guy goes to yard and estate sales and buys anything with a engine on it, his backyard looks just like this. He told me to go ahead and peruse the backyard and if I found anything I'd like to buy, he'd list it on ebay. I said "I got cash, I'm here, let's make a deal on some saws".....

He said "no". What a crock of chit! I wasn't about to tell him to list saws so I could drive back home, bid against others on a saw, and drive back down to pick them up.....lol

Sounds like he wanted to use you to tell him what might be of value to list. I would have walked away as well.

I would offer a penny a pound for the bars; then sell them to the scrap yard for 3 cents a pound; most looked to be scrap metal.
