I hope he let them put their hand prints in the wet cement!

Not giving those two any more ideas than they already had! Our grandson wanted to know what it was like all over his body. No hand prints or dog prints for that matter.

I was just fine, but I surely didn't need or want any dinner last night.

gonna go take a look at another 2 year bucked stack of maple rounds tomorrow. Better pictures than the last one showed the wood to be in great shape, no signs of any leaves etc. Hopefully its not like the ol' fat girl angle shot on facebook or myspace! At least I wont be wasting weekend time on this one.

I had some maple in rounds (stacked) a few years ago...I had it stacked for roughly 6-8 months before it met its split fate.
1/2 of it was punked... I hope your score works out better.:handshake:

hopefully its hard maple! I got some maple from a guy a few months ago that had been down for a while. Red was punky, but the other, not sure the species was rock solid. Couldnt pop it with the maul after 10 swings

Yes, unfortunately even sugar maple goes punky quicker than most wood when left in the rounds. Maple just does that.

That's why it's called "rock maple". At my previous residence, when I used a wood stove, we had a huge rock maple go down on the property. That sucker was tough to work with and I remember the ex went thru several chains for the saw. Fortunately the wood splitter was rented and they had to fix the split fitting :D.

I didn't realize there was soft maples, so I learned something today

I could tell last Fri that the dammed sickness was coming back by the feeling of my nose and throat. What the heck is this all about anyway? Recurring again. I have been reviewing my behaviors and exposures and can't nail it down. Must just be work related.....

But I'm wondering if anyone else that has had that damm (runny nose/hard to swallow/sinus blockage and pressure/sneezing/itchy and watery eyes and the likes) stuff return? Hope not.

Guess where I'll be all day?

    upload_2017-4-18_5-30-51.jpeg

    Yes, I'll have a mask.

Hope everyone else has a good day!

I have been getting better but kept myself awake coughing early this morning (had the crud for just over a week). I had pretty much been over the coughing for a couple of days even if the runny nose/hard to swallow/sinus blockage was still present (diluted, but present) - don't need it to come back for round 2!

I've been battling this chit since Thursday. No fun, trying to get my house cleaned up, on the market and ready for a big move.

Lots of people at work have had this cold thing recur. I am keeping my fingers crossed it doesn't come back on me. Once was enough.

Not raining this morning so going out for a walk.
