It felt good having the power of the tractor compared to the rhino when your pulling dead wet pine. After seeing all the downed branches, I'm really thinking about a chipper for the tractor.
good idea... that's problem with tractors always need another implement.. then building to store it in...
yeah but he makes me tired just reading what he got done! .... I got a barn.. ... it's full.. need another.. or a big workshop man cave! yeah how do I sell that to the wife?
My wife wants some new furniture so maybe I can work the chipper in on that deal but on your end you'll need info from the old wiseguy from MI, Backwoods Savage .
Tomorrow I plan on getting some tractor time using the backhoe getting some sand from the area where I dragged this Pine off of. The hill to the left should be all sand.
Go for it! I may haul a bit of sand myself this week depending on how dry it is. Dumb weather forecasters had predicted no rain this week but some showers moved through last night and again this morning. More called for tonight and tomorrow. then again Saturday. Whoops. Just looked and they moved Saturday's showers to Sunday night.
I hope they're wrong on our forecast for the weekend because I want to start stacking. If the forecast is the same later tomorrow, I'll start stacking on Friday.
They said they may be wrong. There is a new cold front coming in direct from the Northwest sent by a guy named bogydave, and that inch of rain might be 10" of snow!
That would be are luck but hopefully that would hit Backwoods Savage first but leave Mrs. Backwoods Savage 's plant be. Maybe yooperdave could use 10 inches of snow.
This weekend I'll charge the battery for our boat and hopefully the water levels come down. I'm sure the high water levels are pushing a ton of wood through the rivers.
When we had supper I noticed the wife had the Hot Cherry Peppers out......it might be tough sitting in that small backhoe seat tomorrow.
I ended up moving some sand that we're using for fill. I only used the backhoe for 15 minutes and then it was all bucket. Picture 0230 is the sand hill I'm working on,picture 0234 is the other side of the sand hill I'm working on and it looks like the original owner moved sand from this area too.
Looking good Sandy Woody! Been doing the same except a shovel and a wheel barrel. One day..... One day!
Yea, I don't miss those days when I was the youngster on the construction crew, when I went to the equipment cage they handed me two shovels and 12 pair of gloves!
12 pairs, uggg! The sides of the road below are high with sand from the winter. I'm glad to be able to get it close to the house to fill areas that need filling. I think 6 wheel barrel loads i did equal one scoop of your hand control.
