Coffee is done, need to get breakfast made then off to get the truck prepped for the GTG... Oil and all the other fluids, plus some blinker fliud and spring air in the tires, that winter air is getting awful stagnant... Have a Great Day you all...:D

I was at a friends camp last night also for todays PA trout opener. Good times ! Best laughs Ive had in quite awhile . Walked out at dark to the sounds of birds going to roost and peepers and enjoyed a nice sunset. Much needed therapy after the last few months of hell.

It's supposed to be a warm day today. 76 and then rain, could be stormy this afternoon.

I think I'll rake up some more chainsaw woodchips from the yard, and cut up the downed ash branches with the dolkita.

Once my wife comes home to relieve me of daughter duties I am off to pick up a score of 2-3 cords of some sort of maple. Looks like it's been bucked and stacked for a few years at least. Hopefully this will be good enough to fill out the first year of my three year plan.

Post up pics when you can. Sounds like you have some splitting to do. You've got a moisture meter, right? That will help you determine what will be good for next fall.

Hey, Horkn, et al., what do you do with the woodchips? I have yet to figure out what to do with them. I'm sure I could ask the web search engine but that's too easy. Rather hear some ideas from y'all folks.

Fill in low spots in the yard with them, use them for compost, also l make fire starters with chips.

52 this afternoon. The rain has just started. I have Maple and Ash in the boiler. (I had let the boiler go out while up to friend's camp. Now it's warming up and bringing tank up.)

I like the idea of making fire starters, not that I don't like your other ideas. Perhaps if one with chickens were to save enough of them, they could be used in the coup. Don't think there'd be too much bar oil in them to be of any concern.
    Anyway, thanks for the ideas.:sherlock:
