No burn barrel but no problem burning things. And with all the rain we're having there certainly will be no concerns about any fires spreading. It is really wet here but it dried quite a bit today. Tomorrow is forecast to be 79! We haven't seen temperature like that since last August or September. Wind is forecast to gust to 36 mph so that could help on the drying. The bad part is rain is in the forecast tonight through Sunday then again Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday but I don't think there are any big amounts coming. At least I hope not.

My wife needs to know if anyone is bringing hamburger and hot dogs. If not, she can get some ordered tomorrow or Monday so we will be assured we have it on hand. Same thing goes for hamburg and hot dog buns.

I'll bring Martins potato rolls for hamburgers and hot dogs. They are really popular 'round these parts!

I'm just gonna leave this here. Trust me....i don't want to but I feel people should be prepared as the scouts say.

This is the current 10 day gfs model predicted rain totals. Everyone has gore tex suits head to toe....right?

Most long range forecasts are saying a chance of a shower on Saturday. Here is the forecast from NOAA for Owosso which is 20 miles SE of us.

    National Weather Service

The woods are really wet right now but if we have some decent weather this sand can dry out rather quickly.

Okay, I don't see anything about hamburg and hot dogs. So tomorrow my wife will be ordering the meat and we just have to figure about how much to buy.

I'm thinking most will like Vienna hot dogs and we can get them in a 10 lb box. Any left over will be put into our freezer and I'll gladly eat them.

Hamburgs are a different matter but I think we'll start with 10 lb there too. Last year we bought ground round but that is not the best for grilling so this year I think we should go with regular hamburg or ground chuck.

    Please, someone advise on this.

I think we'll also be okay with fixings for the meat. Mustard, mayo, ketchup, pickles, onion.

    Anything we are missing?

btw, my wife has also made a big bunch of bean soup (put in freezer now but quick and easy to thaw and heat). If we can keep the Chief from eating all of it, there should be plenty especially with baked beans coming too. It could get loud around here!

The more cheese you serve, the more toilet paper you save!

I think I'll bring a pasta salad with Italian dressing, veggies, cheese, and bacon.

Dennis I think plain burger is fine.
