I only started working on saws over the summer. This morning a tree service was taking down a big sugar maple at the end of my street, and I walked down in hopes of getting a few of the (very large) branches. Unfortunately the wood was all spoken for, but they offered to take my number because they'd be taking down other trees in the borough. So I walked home and jotted down my info, then headed back to the tree carrying the note and the 064 I refurbished a few months ago and told them to give it a try. The foreman ran it through a tank of gas, at one point switching to his own 660, and then a 460, before asking if he could use mine again. In his professional judgement, my saw "rips." I have a feeling I'll be hearing from them before long.

Man it's a good thing they took that tree down as it looks like it could have went at any time as hollow as it was.
Sugar maple. At the base, yeah. The 20"+ branches were solid, and bucking those is most of what he did with the 064. This was just the better pic.
He was probably kept using it as how chains were getting dull and did not want to file all those teeth. So he just was putting the wear on yours.

No . He has CAD (Chainsaw Acquisition Disorder) He can't resist buying chains saws all winter . Takes pictures of them. Sells a few. Saves one or 2 for summer & fall use , then next winter starts buying again. That about right, Dexter?
You forgot get three saws ported by a monkey for the GTG then hawc off all three a few weeks later for the then new rereleased 661 to not put it in wood just to send back to the monkey.
Nah. These 3 are something special. Two I bought brand new. The other was my 1st Stihl (036) and I got from a guy at work. I doubt these will go anywhere.
The 064 is the only Stihl that interests me... Just sayin... PM when ready to sell if she's a looker...
