I've got a fire going tonight. Sugar maple branches and a couple splits of elm. It's in the low 40's now.
The bulk of storms went north of me didn't even get much rain Cloudy day today 44 now , low 39 . burnin some box elder
Ive still been burning on a regular basis but mostly in the evening. Still cool around here with a bit of snow on a regular basis but not sticking for to long. Still have winters snow cover in the more shady areas and back roads. Burning a full box of doug fir tonight, -2c at the moment.
42 at 08:14 here. I'm burning Elm and Maple this morning. I've turning the boiler off at night just before bed after I make sure it and the big tank are heated all the way up to 185-190.
Just below freezing, but supposed to make it to +7 C, (low 40's F). A few pieces of poplar kindling to warm the shack.
48* Raining, Have not put any wood in the CB for the past three days. yesterday hit 85* the rest of the week looks like good cutting weather fingers crossed.
I've got 44 out this afternoon at 2:24. Feels colder though. A little breeze and feels very damp. Boiler is running and I have Maple and Ash in now.
We had 43 this morning so we had a small fire with some cherry. They're calling for a temp of 34 tonight so we'll have a small overnight fire.
It was warm and humid today so I turned on the A/C. How wacky is that from just a few days ago when we needed heat?
I let mine go out overnight. When we got up this morning it was around 0c and the house was 22c. No one is around this afternoon so no need to keep feeding wood that I work hard to get. Its up to 5c today and overcast with a bit of snow fall so Ill definitely be burning tonight.
Temps got down to the low 20's overnight but it warmed up nice to the mid 50's today with lots of sunshine!
Sun and 55 °F out now , 71 °F inside , stove sittin at 120 °F from last night , low tonight 40 °F , I'll burn some kinda wood up tonight
It was 85* yesterday, we were sweating doing yardwork, too hot, too fast. Close to 60 today, a better day for land cleanup. Tomorrow in the high 50's, I plan on splitting and stacking most of the day. I figure I'm about done burning. Time will tell!
house is at 67 degrees going to 30 tonight... my wife had a sweatshirt on... I lit Woodstove... that's not OK!
Mild winter, and loving the early spring (though not ready for the lake hatch, some of those buggers are already flying). Gladly welcoming them along with the warm weather.
Built a mid sized fire, first one since Friday or Saturday. Lows tonight around freezing, but the rain and cooler temps cooled the house down a bit. The Connecticut river in Dalton is at flood stage and expected to crest overnight. Dawn works close to the river, just up the street in Lancaster. I told her to keep an eye out
