Shadow has a favourite spot in the house. I don't know what distance she can see but she will spend hours sitting like this looking out the window.

And when she is tired, she ends up sleeping like this.

When I come home from work, she greets me at the door and the recliner is rocking like crazy from her enthusiastic exit out of it.

Found this display on the dogs gps collar today. I usually take it off as soon as he gets in the truck but I sometimes forget.

    20170409_182243.jpg

The part I found interesting is the evidence that I don't gaf about speed limits. :eek: I don't think he can run that fast. :whistle:

Note to self....remember to turn off the collar when cletus gets in the truck! Somebody once said something like.....can be used against you in a court of law.....

Any evidence of the monster cat's return? Anyone shoot one around there?

The conservation officer set a live trap the night after Rascal was killed. The officer was pretty sure the cat would be back looking for the other dogs. He was right. The next morning, the cat was in the trap and the officer took care of it. I haven't heard any rumors about any more but I am sure once the weather gets colder again in the fall, they will be back. The deer will be dropping fawns pretty soon so there will be more food for them this spring.

I really knew the cat would return. That is their habit. I felt so bad about the little fellow having fallen victim to the cat.

Did you see Dogtra came out with a new unit? It uses a GPS receiver/transmitter that interfaces with your smartphone via Bluetooth with an app, not cell dependent, so no cell signal required and no data used. I think it was like $300 for a one dog system, not sure how much additional collars were, prolly won't be long till Garmin comes out with similar, the Alpha touch screen can be pretty clunky sometimes.

    edit:
$400 but still half of the Alpha one dog system.

Question, has anyone tried or know someone who has or is using Dinovite dog food supplement? Know any stories of results?

Snowed today, surprisingly. Kobe likes snow. Keeping an eye out for deer.

Hadn't seen that. My first thought is that I wouldn't subject my phone to elements like I do the garmin regardless of the savings. We've been rained on plenty of times.

For the casual backyard user though, that's gonna be the new hot selling technology would be my guess.

We broke down and adopted this little guy named Luigi. He's a runner so banished to the leash until I get the electric fence installed

Good for You! Little runners are a real challenge. We had a 7 pound little runner. She never gave it up until she went blind. I am happy you have a new friend.

Don't they make electric collars small enough for Yorkies?

Yeah there are several small dog systems. I had speced one out 5-6yrs ago for other dogs we had but never pulled the trigger because they all trained well and stayed on the property. GF wanted a physical fence but our property just isn't conducive more for the inconvenience it would give me so we'll see how this system works should be here tomorrow

He's bigger than Sampson was with that comes less health issues but a more functional breed with speed and agility bred out of toy sizes. He would have notched the first chipmunk in his collar the other day if he had more length on the leash gives new meaning to blur:eek:

He looks like my parent's Smokie....
    Cute li'l bugger!
Dad dug in an invisible fence (a few dogs ago- maybe 20+ years ago) and didn't read the directions too well about testing the beep from the collar.....he was holding the battery pack and prongs instead of the "collar" when he approached the wire.
You can guess what happened :startled:
