There is, it looks like someone cut part of this tree before we bought the land, I didn't like working near it with 30 mph gust. 100_0090-002.JPG

I did some running around this morning and afternoon so the only work in the woods I did was checking the trails and picking up some Maple from up top that I had cut a few weeks ago, maybe more.

Tomorrow will be spent getting that Beech I was working on the other day. We hit 66 today.

We're under a special weather statement regarding some storms, wind gusts possible and a flash flood watch. Just starting raining here.

I cut up what Beech was on the ground and then dropped two topped off Beech, some are solid and some have some rot on one side.

I didn't take full loads because I had a big dip on the left when I was heading out on the first two loads but the third load I cleared a trail out a different way which made it much better.

Lots of trees to manage there. I honestly don't know how you do it. Looks like a full time job to me. Just don't let any widow makers get you.

Oh, no. We don't have near as many beech in indiana as I would like. After the ash-o-caust we've been having, I'm covered up. I like the looks of an old beech, don't want to see a beech-o-caust.

One tree at a time, I usually like to get three cord which equals 10 f/c in the spring but the trees I've been getting aren't that big so we'll see how much I get by the end of May.

This spring/summer we'll be widening the driveway in a certain area so that will mean more time on the tractor.
