From experience, even though they cost more, in the long run OEM parts are always better than parts store Chinese replacement......unless you just don't want to spend the $$ on a vehicle you're getting rid of in the near future.

Same here....I tried the "aftermarket" crap at Advanced Auto, but didn't last 10K. Bought OEM Delco rotors for the TrailBlazer from RockAuto, smooth, no shudder....been on there 2+ years.

I don't think it actually is doing much if anything, with the hyper visor in control of the boxen. It is a fast box for sure but I haven't be able to turn the fans on to make sure they even work.

This is what I didnt like seeing on the box! But I recently read a post stating that almost all rotors are coming from China now where the problem is inconsistent raw material. I didnt have time to read the article, but it doesnt sound good-of course this may or may not be the truth (it is the internet, right?) but I wouldn't be surprised

Brake Rotors from China - the truth - Honda-Tech

The real problem seems that you really dont know what you are getting anymore.

That and poor specs. I'm guessing the raw material & tighter specs allow OEM parts to be of better quality.

I think you'll need to start another VM (or three), and a compile, to even start to exercise that boxen.

I hear 'ya G, but most are made overseas / out-of-country these days.. That's where purchasing from a company that has ISO manufacturing standards in-place, w/ in-house quality control (like Beck-Arnley or Raybestos) makes a -big- difference in parts received - at least that's been my experience here.

Anyone care to guess what showed up today? Yup,the package that should have been here on Thursday and got changed to Friday and then delivery not done. The package was mostly dead air and for giggles it fits in my new mailbox. Everything in the package fits inside one of two 3TB hard drive boxes.

When I was working for a living, I used to file married with no deductions. Still ended up writing checks to Maine and the IRS upwards of 5 thousand in additional taxes. Fixed it by have extra money held back every payday. IRS charges penalties and interest when you are not sending in enough throughout the year. My second job and the overtime was kicking my butt in taxes. Didn't matter that most of it went to keep the kids in college. As soon as the kids were independent, I really changed things around. Amazing how you can reduce your earnings, but have similar take home pay. Small wonder why folks barter for so much, or work under the table.

Going to be a really nice day here sunny mid 60's , both stoves shutting down now , prolly only have to run the p 43 in the evening to take the chill out of the Man Cave . Went to the car wash earlier , now time for a vac of the inside and a quick wax , then some yard work , with plenty of Smoothie consumption
