    This thing was all grown up around for years and we cleaned it all out. Hey the thing turns freely! May just figure out How to run the old classic. Also check out the big oak close to it. It's about 7 ft across

    Wow. Maybe you can find an old timer around that might know something about an old mill like that. There are plenty of Amish that run those old style mills up here.

    That is a nice old mill. Are there any manufacturer names on it? Looks like you have a good deal of work to get it going not sure but looks like the belts on the husk are missing as is the big flat drive belt. The blade can be hammered and new shanks and teeth installed if it's in spec. We have an old 00 frick that we still run occasionally.

    I would say it has babbit bearings they look the same as my mill.

    They are handy things to have around. You can still get parts for them just takes some research sometimes. Be careful they can be very dangerous.

    it has the look of an Amadon portable mill. if you get close up pics of the carriage I can compare it to the one at the museum. We have 2 mills in operation - an Amadon portable and a Lane 'ought' mill
