That arrangement is totally different than my stove. I don't have pins. Harman must have changed it at some point.

Just wondering why Harman(the king of stoves) doesn't put em in from the get go?? Seems odd you spend all that coin and the pins fall out. :makeitrain"

*cue "Battle Hymn of the Republic" music.........

The slick pin came out AFTER his stove did. In the ongoing effort to improve their units up and above other inferior choices of stoves, slick pins started appearing a few years ago. Some units jack those pins out after use.....one can either slightly file the pins so they are somewhat more loose and fall back, or, use the slick pin!

It may be considered a 'featured design enhancement', by various Harman owners here.

The door pins on my P68 used to do that. Then one day my friendly Harmoan repair man came out to replace a dead combustion fan, and while he was here, he did a quick once over on the whole stove. To this day, I don't know what he did, but the pins have never popped up again since that visit.

Nice to hear tt, Likely what Lw said. A bit tight in the bore and he prolly hit the pins with some emery, Or cleaned up the lower holes in the hinge point. A bit of lube or never sneaze wouldn't hurt neither.

Yup, just keep them clean and lubed once in a while and they stay put. Even if they back out a bit, its not big deal.

    $9.00 each ? :eek:Dont waste your $$ :emptywallet:

2 welded posts that the door sits on. Stick the index finger of your right hand straight up. Then take the index finger and thumb of your left hand and make a circle. Slide the circle over the index finger of your right hand. There you go.
