They have a lot of grunt in the lower rpms even without a MM. I've always liked the husky underdogs(non xp saws with a magnesium case).
    It's already here lol.
Not sure if I'll bring it to Dennis's place, lots of 50cc toys for there as well as others, like a couple of these.

When I did my muff mod, I took before and after vids (10 mins apart). Pretty sure it was close to 20% gain. I'll have to post the links so you can see the difference! It was huge.

Stock (13,000 rpm) Cut times are 5 seconds or a hair over

Muff mod (13,000 rpm) Cut times are 4 seconds or a hair under. So about 20% increase!

It sure woke up huh? I still haven't touched the muffler on the 681. Perhaps I should.

It's good for at least 10% and on that saw? I'd say it's probably closer to the 20% or + mark!!

Yeah, but same saw, same chain, same wood.. So the muffler mod speaks for itself :dex: Whether it's Ohio or Michigan? It's still 20% ;)

    Poulan 4200 & 5200.Had the 4200 a couple years,the 5200 arrived today.

After waiting/watching 5+ yrs not to mention being outbid on at least 6 of these since then (last one by ONE FREAKING DOLLAR just a few weeks ago  ) I FINALLY snagged one of these highly sought after 85cc legendary beasts last week! DSC02990.JPG DSC02991.JPG poulan 5200.JPG

Needs a couple minor things like new fuel lines, oil cap, throttle lock button & probably carb rebuild but is in overall decent shape considering its age.Plus the fact that these were just produced from 1975-80 & were normally beat to death over their working life.

This isn't the same 33cc or 40cc toy homeowner Poulan Wild Thing you'll find at WalMart,Lowe's or Home Depot today, boys & girls :dex: ;)
