    anyone burn these from pellets direct. Some for sale locally for $3 a bag. If so how did they do

    That would be hard to pass at $3 but I don't think anyone here has burned them.

    At $ 3 I think I'd be burning them hardwood or softie??

    EDIT They are a blend I'd be all over them , the price is right:thumbs:

    Just got my Pellets Direct early spring buy notice. Thinking 2 tons hardwood, two tons softwood this year. Haven't decided on brands yet.

    Here is the link to Pellets Direct. I never tried softwoods, but my Barefoot Hardwoods were less than impressive this year, sooooo...thinking of mixing it up..

    Some very nice choices Crete's or Plat's are both very good softies and not a bad price either not much more than the Big Box crap , for a far superior pellet

    watch those platinums.....extra long up to 3" easy.......burn good but my auger didnt like them,plus bridged the feed tube.....had to sell them at a loss

    Yep. Same here. I've had it happen to me twice this year. Once with Plats and once with Thermaglos

    Never burned them. Worst case, see if the seller will let you take half ton so if they are rotten you aren't stuck with a boatload of them.

    LaCretes, Platinum, and LG are all good choices and the prices are good on all of them. Just picked up a couple test bags of Logik-E Softies to try, will let you know how they are in a couple days...

    Can't go wrong with LaCrete. I haven't burned enough Plat's to have an opinion.
