Well, I should have posted that it is not mine. For those who came to the GTG last year you no doubt remember Ron, who lives on the corner and we cut some of his trees. It is his tractor. I just borrowed it because we're probably going to buy a new one and I wanted to use his to see how it was for power. I think that is the size we'll end up with. It is 33hp but I can get a 26hp for about $2800 less, mostly because the smaller one would not be a tier 4 engine.
I think a 26 horse would give you plenty of power. The bigger frame size is good. Weight is your friend. Gary
Pretty soon that firewood gittin' won't even be work! Is it my eyes, or is that a fairly big reach for the step? Step on the other side?
I had a REALLY hard time pulling the trigger on a tractor. Finally, a change in mindset eased my conscience enough to buy one. I have never regretted it. I love my tractor and you will feel the same, Sav. I looked at Kubota, but they were several thousand more than a similar model Deere, at least in my area. Orange, green, or other, I hope you get one because I know you will love it!
Congrats Sir Savage-get exactly what you want within your range and what the boss will allow-it will serve you both well-Just remember, run it horizontal
