What's up today (bullchiting) thread.

Got a 2:45 with Senator Grassley. Not sure what about.

 

Huh?

 

Work sent me to a conference with our senator. Turned out to be a town hall meeting we were hosting. Cool guy, met him several times. Him and I are both from the same town originally, Dad used to sleep over at his house, was friends with my grandpa before Grassley moved to Washington.

 

Just got done splitting some elm and a little apple, apple was cut on a bad bias. Old lady got it on film, not anything pretty but I will add it to the archive footage.

 

Went to the emergency room this morning. Spent the day undergoing test. Seems I have a infusion of fluid in my knee following my mishap on the stairs. Also got an iv to hydrate me, and discovered an AV block ( from an EKG)
Went home with a leg brace and crutches. Declined to accept pain meds. Don't want to fall again or be bummed up.
Now snowing. Glad the storm held off long enough for me to get back in the house.
Wife brought in 4 bags of pellets which should last a couple days.

 

What a woman, I carry 4 in a load too! How the knee gets better soon. How bad is the blockage?

 

Very sorry to hear you've had such a "fun" day. Let's hope the blockage can be resolved/dissolved fairly easily, and the fluid recedes… and that you're not too uncomfortable without meds. Good luck, go slow.

 

Md said normal for my age to have this conduction issue. He actually said I was in good shape. I was surprised because I am way too heavy. My wife was off her feet for two years with her knee replacements and other surgeries. Now she has to wait on me!

 

What would we do without our brides…

 

Go hungry, sleep in the cold, wear dirty clothes, and be bored as hell.

She would sleep in the cold, I'm the one that does most of the wood processing.

 

Got out of work at 3:30 and went hiking with my wife for a hour and a half, needed to clear my head and the weather was to gorgeous to pass it up. Here are a few pictures of me standing about 25 yards off the bank of the lake. The ice is still thick enough to walk across the lake at this point.

yes indeed, also time to reevaluate my priorities. I have been dedicated to the gardens, but maybe it is time to ease up and get out a little.

 

Don't change your ways unless that's what you want. Me, I would love to get out less and be able to give firewood, the garden, lawn and landscape my full attention.
